Shamefully, it has been over a year since I wrote a blog post, bad Laura! Anyway, I realized some folks may not know some of the wonderful things going on in the writing world that you can work on or learn about at the Florida Writer’s Conference.

If you didn’t make it out this year, you missed out on hearing Linda Fairstein and Heather Graham talking about the art of what they do and why they do it. As well as opportunities to connect with other faculty and pick their brain on a variety of topics.

Even if you do not make it this year, you are welcome to attend next year’s event. It promises to be an amazing, diverse writing conference attending to the needs of writers at every level. How do I know? I am the faculty chair for 2019. Every year the conference gets better and better, next year will be no different. With tracks for Traditional and Indie Publishing as well as a focus on marketing, social media and of course the Craft of Writing (genre and non-genre specific), next year looks to be quite exciting.

This year has been a different one for as I transition from attendee to faculty to Faculty Chair. I realize I am now looking at this wonderful conference through different eyes and am listening to the concerns and insight of attendees in a way I did not before. I hope to be able to live up to expectations.  Signing off for now, have an appointment with someone about consulting for services. Talk soon.
